Ashley Moody was also accused by a Florida Grand Jury, of having knowledge of a conniving Republican Party scheme to divert $10 million from a Medicaid refund settlement meant for extremely sick children to get medical care.
HELPLESS
FAMILIES DESERVE ANSWERS
The leaked grand jury report has exposed that $10 million from a
Medicaid fraud settlement meant for sick children was corruptly diverted into
Republican political committees. This was a backroom deal that was authorized
by Moody when she served as Florida's Attorney General.

Dark storm clouds of the $10 million Medicaid scandal hangs over Ashley Moody's head.
This $10 million loss from children’s health care hang like dark
billowing storm clouds over Ashley Moody’s head. Will she escape the
consequences of her misadventure many Floridians asks as she face the honest,
dynamic Angie Nixon in the November 3, 2026, U.S. Senate special general
election.

Angie Nixon is a Change Agent with a strong, positive vision.
Therefore, as Ashley Moody pursues a political
career advancement there are painfully sad, tearful mothers, struggling
families, and poverty-stricken working people continue bearing the terrible burden
of Florida’s failed healthcare system.
FLORIDA'S
SHAMEFUL MEDICAID CONTROVERSY
The controversy centers on a reported $67
million settlement between Florida and the healthcare company Centene, arising
from allegations involving Medicaid billing and pharmacy benefit practices.

Over 1000 Maternal Healthcare Hospitals and Clinics have been closed in America.many are in Florida's poorest communities.
Medicaid is intended to provide a healthcare
safety net for vulnerable people, including low-income children, pregnant
women, people with disabilities, and struggling families. Money recovered
through enforcement actions should be handled transparently and in accordance
with the law.
According to accounts of the grand jury
investigation, a proposed arrangement would have directed approximately $10
million through an outside organization rather than the usual state spending
process.
The reported findings raise serious concerns about political influence and legislative control over public money. However, questions about the legality and purpose of the arrangement must be distinguished from proof that any particular official personally stole funds or committed a crime.
The public deserves to know where the money went, who approved each transaction, and whether the arrangement complied with Florida law.WHAT DID
THE GRAND JURY SAY MOODY KNEW?
The reported grand jury findings have placed
particular attention on Moody's knowledge of the proposed settlement
arrangement while she served as Florida's attorney general.
Accounts of the investigation indicate that
concerns were raised within her office about whether the proposed handling of
settlement proceeds would bypass the legislature's authority over public
spending.
That distinction matters. Knowing about a
proposal, approving a lawful settlement, and personally authorizing an unlawful
diversion are different matters. They should not be confused.
Nevertheless, public officials have an
obligation to explain decisions involving substantial sums of public money.
When questions arise about settlement proceeds, transparency is not a political
favor. It is a democratic responsibility.
The people of Florida deserve a complete
accounting of the $10 million controversy, including the relevant agreements,
approvals, recipients, and legal justifications.
THE HUMAN
TOLL: EXPANDING MATERNITY-CARE DESERTS
While the Medicaid controversy raises
questions about public financial priorities, another crisis is unfolding across
Florida: the growing difficulty many women face in obtaining affordable and
accessible maternity care.
In rural and low-income communities, the
closure or reduction of maternity services can force pregnant women to travel
greater distances for prenatal appointments, emergency treatment, and
childbirth.
Staffing shortages, financial pressures,
corporate restructuring, and decisions about hospital profitability all
contribute to the problem. For families without reliable transportation, paid
leave, or adequate insurance, these barriers can become dangerous.
A pregnant working-class mother cannot simply
stop needing medical attention because the nearest maternity unit has closed.
Nor can she pay hospital bills with political promises.
For Black women, who already face disproportionately high maternal mortality risks, barriers to timely and appropriate healthcare can have especially serious consequences.
